The lyrics in this song are inspired by President Uchtdorf's talk to the Young Women at their Broadcast in April 2010 entitled "Your Happily Ever After." It can be found in the May 2010 Ensign pages 124-127. There are so many great passages in this talk, but I decided to use the phrase "your once upon a time is now" because I think it clearly tells how life can be beautiful but it's up to us right now to decide if we are going to see it that way and make choices that will keep bringing those blessings from our King, Jesus Christ. Remember, your "happily ever after" is up to you!
